The CloakA Different Eye
25 Aug 2015
This cloak I wear becomes heavier everyday
It tears me apart to let it go
But I must
The rain drains me as a walk
Sympathy and kindness fall away from my being
And I discard this cloak
I will be something more than I could ever imagine
No element of nature can take my faith, only me
When the sun rises and the moon becomes the light
Choices are hidden in the darkness
That I'll follow to be free
Words are all we have but actions silence them when they are true
I find inspiration in the thoughts of old, trailed by fool's gold
I dare not speak for they are not told
For the serpent may sliver its tongue to find his way
I breathe upon the future to find my own way, upon the universe.
