The world is on fire.
The outrage of flames rise into the sky, cracking wildly with delight.
Smoke plumes clog the minds with revolution and death.
Hot metal screams through the air taking everything away.
We sit in darkness watching the streams of fire stretch across the night sky.
Leaving their trails like dying fireworks.
Our eyes intent with unnerved emotion as numbness takes us.
Waiting for the sun to appear.
Erasing all the remnants as if nothing happened at all.
